Daniel Balaji, who is known for playing baddie roles,  will be seen in a new avatar in Gnana Kirukkan. Gnana Kirukkan is directed by Ilayadevan. 'It is a mind-blowing subject and I essay the title role. I have a new look in the entire movie and am attired in white khadi dhoti and shirt', saysDaniel Balaji.

Gnana Kirukkan is one who treats all human beings equally irrespective of their caste, creed, and financial status. He is a selfless man who lives for others. I am really kicked up about the project, he adds.
Actress Meenal’s sister Sendhi will be seen opposite Balaji in the film.

Thambi Ramaiah will play a crucial role and Mollywood actress Arcaha Kavi and debutantJagaraj are also part of the lead cast. It is based on a true-life incident and has music composed by Taj Noor. It will be shot extensively in and around Kumbakonam.

After completing the major portion of shooting for his movie Irandam Ulagam ingeorgia, director Selvaraghavan is back in Chennai. Selva was away abroad for shooting for almost a month.
