Gangai Amaran's Kolaveri speech

Though Dhanush's Kolaveri song had become a rage and made it big on internet and music-lovers, it still continues to receives bouquets from many.

The song set to tunes by Anirudh and penned and crooned by Dhanush  was the USP of the movie 3. Veteran composer-lyricist Gangai Amaran is the latest to join the gang.

Speaking at the audio launch of Mannarust a function in Chennai, Gangai Amaransaid, 'today the quality of Tamil film music has slipped to abysmal levels.

The recent song Why Dis Kolveri Di...is a classic example. Music should touch your hearts and give a mesmerising feel'.

Mannaru, directed by Jaishankar stars national awardee Appukutty, Swathy, Vaishali, Thambi Ramiah and Pandiarajan. 

Young Udhayan has composed tunes for the songs in the film.

The highlight of the album is that a song has been rendered after a long gap by Krishnaraj with S P Shailaja. Among those who took part in the event include filmmakers S P Jananathan, Suseenthiran, Gowthaman and FEFSI Siva.
