K Bhagyaraj turns President

It is a news that would make every Tamilian happy. Veterran director and actor K Bhagyaraj has achieved a rare feat this year.

The Kerala government has appointed director K Bhagyaraj as the president of the Kerala State Award Committee for judging the films that released in 2011. 

He along with his panel of jury will start from today. They will be nominating films for the prestigious award, from the shortlisted 40 films.

The winners will be announced anytime after 15th July.

A veteran filmmaker, Bhagyaraj started his career as Bharathiraja's assistant. He played the lead roles in all his films besides ventured to produce, score music for his film too.
